Bay Area Brewery Tours
Whether you work for a Bay Area company or you are in town for business, SF on Tap’s craft beer tours make a perfectly original team building event. We are San Francisco’s only dedicated beer tour company, receiving dazzling marks from reviewers since we were founded in 2015. Impress your staff or clients with how cool you are by calling on us to design the craft beer related off-site “meeting” that is perfect for your needs. We’re happy to add a lunch stop or a trip to a winery to diversify the experience and create an outing that will be talked about for years. Walking tours and bus tours are both available.
All SF on Tap tours are hosted by a highly knowledgeable and friendly beer enthusiast/guide who will make sure the beer and fun are always flowing. Every tour includes visits to craft breweries, a commendable amount of craft beer drinking, at least one tour of a brewing facility, light snacks, and craft beer education. Information about the neighborhoods we pass through, free time for your group to socialize, focused time for your group to conduct business, and so many other things can be offered in large or small amounts as you see fit.
Private Walking Tours
(2-30 people)
SF on Tap is San Francisco’s original craft beer walking tour company. Choose the experts and we’ll provide your group with an economical and highly enjoyable experience in a San Francisco neighborhood. The average tour includes two 15 minute walks and commentary about the neighborhood as we walk through it. Participants enjoy the fresh air and love experiencing a bit of the city with a nice little day-drinking buzz and conversation with others in the group. San Francisco’s weather is mild year round, so these tours are great any time of year!

- 2 breweries in about 2.75 hours (4-5 samples of beer at each brewery)
Baseline Pricing:
- Private tours starting at $399
- All other taxes and fees are included in the price
- Prices increase nominally if there are fewer than 8 participants
Optional Tour Modifications:
- Lunch or dinner: If you would like to enjoy a meal at a brewery while on tour, there are two ways to pay:

Tour Location:
SoMa and/or Dogpatch neighborhoods:
- Most of our private walking tours take place in this area due to the flexibility of opportunities they offer including the ability to host larger groups. The walk between breweries is generally about 15 minutes.
Fisherman’s Wharf and North Beach:
- Maximum capacity, 20 people. This route includes 1 brewery and 2 bars, but is much more scenic and informative about the iconic neighborhoods and sites you pass. It is great for first time groups in SF equally excited to learn about and experience San Francisco its self, and it’s craft beer scene. This route typically includes two 45 minute walks.
Mission:
- The Mission District is a fascinating blend of wealthy, poor, bohemians, Latinos, and techies set among a patchwork of old dives, modern hot spots and Victorian architecture. Witness the intriguing blend of cultures firsthand, learn about some of the countless excellent beer bars, restaurants, etc., you’ll pass, and take a mesmerizing and thought-provoking walk down Clarion Alley to see the famous street art murals.
Transportation:
- We can provide bus transportation as an option
Throughout the tour, your guide will provide insight into the history and importance of each brewery you visit as well as interesting info about each beer you drink, samples of beer ingredients you can smell and taste, and a brief history of brewing in San Francisco. We strive to provide the balance of learning, drinking and celebrating that’s right for your group; your guide will keep an open dialogue with your group leader to make sure they’re providing you the experience you desire. Breweries we most often visit include Seven Stills, Anchor, ThirstyBear, Local, Triple Voodoo, and Bartlett Hall.
Private Bus or Van Tours
(2-200 people)
Many groups love the comfort, convenience, and perhaps the perceived quality increase, that comes with choosing bus, van, or “party bus” transportation. If your group is more than about 20 people—and definitely if it is over 30 people—bus tours are your best option to gain access to breweries that can properly accommodate large groups. They also offer the safety and convenience of being picked up and dropped off where you would like.
