Overview of your tour
Beer and Cannabis Combo Tour
Explore and embrace San Francisco’s now-legal cannabis revolution! With plant-based medicine, health and wellness, and quality of life at the core of this new industry, you’re guaranteed to feel the heart of San Francisco shine on this morning adventure.
The San Francisco Bay Area is the epicenter of innovation and activism, so it makes sense to introduce you to (or expand your knowledge of) this fascinating agricultural product. On this tour, you’ll learn about the cannabis plant and how it becomes what is consumed, the cannabis-focused movement, and why San Francisco’s story is so special.
Our first stop will be at the revolutionary Barbary Coast Dispensary, famous for featuring craft brands from northern California. One of the few dab bars in the city, this safe, clean, and comfortable space will allow you to learn a bit about the products and even consume, if that’s your jam — they have utensils that you can borrow if you choose to do so. Here, we’ll have a great start to the day by chatting with some of the experts that work at this dispensary and hanging out with new friends.
This tour also features visits to several key San Francisco neighborhoods, where cannabis has been popular for decades. The Haight-Ashbury district is famous for the ‘60s revolutions and borders Golden Gate Park, where cannabis has been openly sold way before it was legal. San Francisco’s Castro district was home to the city’s first retail store and was ground zero for legalization, a result of the medical benefits of cannabis for those suffering from AIDS.
In the afternoon, you will visit three happening San Francisco microbreweries and/or beer bars and use our industry connections to bring each stop to life in a way you could not achieve on your own. We will explain the unique role each of our destinations plays in the craft beer scene and provide some background behind each beer you consume. Whenever possible, we will take you behind the scenes on a brewery tour and introduce you to brewers and other knowledgeable employees who can bring additional insight.
While we walk from one brewery to the next, your guide will vividly describe each neighborhood and local brewing history. The walk is flat and only 1.5 miles, and handicapped accessible.
We believe that the combination of these two tours will provide amazing experiences, while hooking you up for your entire time in San Francisco. We’ll take you to the best places to buy weed and then give you a chance to pick up local craft beer to take back to your Airbnb property or hotel.

Cannabis FAQs
Absolutely! Every place that we visit on our tours operates legally in the state of California.
Yes. We will be stopping at consumption lounges where you can purchase and consume marijuana products. These purchases are not included in the tour price.
We have a policy of no peer pressure! Consumption is optional on our tours since we know that some guests may be interested in the backstory but not the “participation” aspect of it. If you want to consume but smoking isn’t up your alley, not to worry — there are plenty of other ways that you can consume marijuana, and we’ll teach you all about them on the tour!
If you do decide to consume marijuana products, we recommend moderation! Take it slow if you’re not a seasoned weed consumer, as some strains can be quite strong (this goes for all methods of consumption). Our tour guides can give you some guidance if you are unsure. This is a time to learn about marijuana and enjoy your day!
You’re free to carry up to the personal legal limit of pot on you at any time. (California limits possession to 1 ounce.) Keep in mind that you will have the chance to purchase marijuana products on the tour, so if you plan to do so, stay safe and avoid carrying more than the legal limit by leaving your own at home.
Nope. You just need a valid government-issued ID (a driver’s license or a passport will do just fine).
